Client: National Geographic Magazine
Graphic Design | Typography
Design multiple editorial spreads for a featured National Geographic Magazine article focused on ocean pollution. The goal is to communicate the urgency of the issue while maintaining the publication’s iconic visual identity.
Working within National Geographic’s established brand guidelines, I developed a series of type-forward layouts that balanced expressive storytelling with visual clarity. Each spread was crafted to reflect the gravity of the topic, using bold typography, dynamic composition, and compelling imagery to engage readers.
In addition to the article layouts, I designed a complementary infographic highlighting diverse sea creatures affected by pollution. This visual component served as both an educational tool and a stylistic bridge, reinforcing the thematic consistency across the spreads.
The final designs achieved a compelling balance between informative content and visual impact, enhancing the reader’s engagement while staying true to the magazine’s legacy of thoughtful and impactful journalism.
